Our Dedicated Departments

The research and development department is responsible for creating new and innovative products that can help prevent and treat diseases in animals.

  • Departments

    Phytochemistry

The Phytochemistry Division develops commercially viable processes for the optimum extraction of medicinal plants where active constituents/markers are known. The plant extracts generated there of are standardized to contain known amounts of biologically active constituents.

  • Departments

    Analytical & Instrumentation

The Analytical & Instrumentation Division of R&D Centre of Indian Herbs has well equipped modern state-of-the-art Instrumentation facilities e.g, High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), High Performance Thin Layer Chromatography (HPTLC), Gas Chromatograph with Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS-QQQ), Atomic Absorption Spectrometer (AAS), UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, Clinical Analyzer, Elisa reader etc.

  • Departments

    Formulation Development

The formulation development Division of R&D Centre of Indian Herbs is well equipped for the development of new products, where the pre-formulation studies are routinely done. Different trial batches are prepared to assess safety, efficacy and shelf life of different formulations.

The Phytochemistry Division develops commercially viable processes for the optimum extraction of medicinal plants where active constituents/markers are known. The plant extracts generated there of are standardized to contain known amounts of biologically active constituents. For plants where active constituents are not known, bioactivity guided fractionations are undertaken and actives/bio-markers are isolated for the purpose of standardization. Chromatographic techniques like column chromatography & Preparative Thin Layer Chromatography are employed for isolating different active constituents. The isolated single chemical entities are thoroughly characterized using the conventional spectroscopic (UV,IR,NMR & Mass spectroscopy) and chromatographic techniques. The development and validation of analytical procedures are done for the new products developed. Standardization of the herbal raw materials and finished products is routinely done using state of art equipments.
