Bactifier

Acidification through supplementation of buffered organic acids in poultry feed is done to maintain the acidic pH in the gut and crop to control growth of pathogenic microbes and stimulate secretion of digestive enzymes. Acidification also helps to promote growth of beneficial gut microflora and improve nutrient absorption. Addition of organic acids in feed disfavors the growth of harmful bacteria and fungi in the stored feed and there by reduces the spoilage of feed and improves feed quality.

Bactifier is a biotechnology based unique feed and gut acidifier which is a synergistic combination of selected organic acids in right quantities. Bactifier reduces the pH of the gut and maintains it at lower levels throughout the gut, thus helping optimum digestion and absorption of nutrients. The organic acids of Bactifier disrupt membranes of the pH sensitive bacteria like E. coli., Salmonella, c.perfrenges, l. monocytogens, Campylobacters etc. They penetrate the microbial cell wall and disrupt their protein and nucleic acid synthesis. Salts of organic acids of Bactifier absorbs ambient oxygen in the stored feed and thus limit growth and multiplication of aerobic bacteria. Synergistic blend of different organic acids having different pH and dissociation constants provides broad spectrum antimicrobial activity to Bactifier against many different bacteria and fungi. Bactifier promotes growth, production performance ry birds. Its use also improves the growth of Lactobacillus and other beneficial organisms and also helps to reduce production of ammonia in the gut.
