In developed countries, about 7.7% of eggs produced by commercial layers have poor shell quality and higher (21%) incidence of egg shell defects and cracked eggs is reported in hot tropical environments (Roland, 1977 and Njoku and Nwazota, 1989). Usually Poultry and Animal Feeds are well balanced with Calcium and Phosphorus, but due to certain reasons their absorption and bioavailability remain poor. In this situation, addition of more amount of Calcium and Phosphorus to the feed not only makes the feed unpalatable but also interferes with the bio-availability of other minerals such as Mg, Mn, Zn etc and may result in reduced growth and feed conversion efficiency. MagaCal AFI is a herbal feed supplement which helps to prevent and overcome Calcium and Phosphorus deficiency syndromes. MagaCal AFI contains advanced complexing agent to form organic complex with dietary Calcium, Phosphorous and Magnesium to enhance absorption and bioavailability of these minerals from the diet. The natural Vitamin D metabolites of Magacal AFI in highly bioavailable organic form increase the Calcium Binding Protein concentration in the intestine to enhance absorption and bio-availability of dietary calcium and phosphorus.

MagaCal AFI ensures optimum absorption, bioavailability and utilisation of dietary Calcium and Phosphorus as well as Magnesium, with normal as well as deficient diets, maintaining proper Calcium : Phosphorus ratio. MagaCal AFI helps reduce excretion of both Calcium and Phosphorus by 25% to 30% and thus ensures their higher retention and utilisation. Due to its advanced delivery system, MagaCal AFI facilitates the translocation of Ca, P and Mg ions to the sites of requirement in the body and safe excretion of their unutilized quantities as water soluble substances through the urine. MagaCal AFI significantly improves bone-mineralisation, bone density and collagen biosynthesis with regular bone-remodeling. It also contains Biotin like bioactives that help to improve hatchability as well as growth and strength of hoof, feet and bones. MagaCal AFI effectively helps prevent the egg shell problems such as thin shell and brittle shell etc. in commercial layers and breeders. Supplementation of MagaCal AFI in dairy animals during late gestation and early lactation helps to prevent Milk Fever and optimise milk production.

FEED INCLUSION RATE

Broilers, Layer-chicks and growers @ 0.5 kg per ton of feed.Layers and Turkeys @ 0.5 to 1 kg per ton of feed.Farm Animals@ 0.75 kg per ton of feed.In poultry breeders on restricted feeding system, MagaCal AFI powder may be given @ 75 mg per kg body weight.For individual feeding in Farm Animals, Equines, Canines, Camels etc.5 gm per 100 kg body weight.

To be given orally mixed with feed, once daily for 30 days or more, as required.

In case of Calcium deficiency syndromes, the double quantity may be given for first 1 - 2 weeks.

USAGE

For optimum bone mineralisation, skeletal development and growth in poultry, farm animals, dogs and horses etc.
For full development of medullary and other bones and to maximise Calcium deposition in bones in layer-chicks and during pre-lay period (16 - 20 weeks age) in layer-growers to ensure adequate Calcium-reserves for future use.
To meet higher requirement of Calcium, Phosphorus and Magnesium and thus helps prevent their deficiency syndromes such as Rickets, Osteoporosis, Lameness, Cage Layer Fatigue, Leg weakness and Egg-shell problems etc and also to help fast recovery from these conditions.
To optimise and maintain higher level of egg production and egg shell quality, more particularly during hot and humid seasons.
To bring down and maintain normal level of egg-shell breakage, when it is increased after 60 weeks of age, without extra supplementation of Calcium and Vitamin D.
To improve selection percentage and hatchability of eggs in breeders birds, by improving thickness and quality of egg shell.
To optimise the growth and strength of hoof and bone and to help early recovery from any damage to bone, cartilage and hoof material in horses, camels, dogs and farm animals etc.
To facilitate attaining full height, strong musculature and bony texture, particularly in hunting and sporting dogs and horses.
To meet higher demands of Calcium during late gestation and early lactation as well as to help limit the chances of metabolic disorders such as hypocalcimia, milk fever etc and to optimise milk production, in lactating animals.
